Carol Corrine Rubin, 69

Hamden resident formerly lived in Milford, where she was a bookkeeper.

Carol Corrine Rubin, 69, of Hamden, and formerly of Milford, passed on July 30, 2012 with her loving husband and family by her side after a courageous fight against cancer.

Carol was born on Dec. 1, 1942. She was a bookkeeper for 30 years with Milford Pediatric.

Exhibiting strength and courage to the very end, the twinkle in her blue eyes and smile never left her face. Carol understood love and life, offered wisdom and had captured the heart of family and friends with her acts of kindness and friendship. She will be extremely missed.

Carol is survived by her husband Allan, daughters Deborah and Donna Twigg, sister Jeanette and brother-in-law Mark Ellis, nieces Carolyn and Lynn Womble, step-children Louis and Larry Rubin, step-grandchildren Alyssa, Aaron and Jake Rubin. Family including Arnie, Jackie and Richard Kamrin. Never to forget her best friend, Rosemary Martone. She was predeceased by her sister, Linda Kerkla and step-son, Steven Rubin.

Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 4 at 11 am at First United Church of Christ in Milford. Interment will be private in Long Island, N.Y.

Donations in Carol's name may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, Homeport Cove, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405.

Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford, are handling the arrangements.

Yes, trust the state legislators, as we trusted the Social Security was supposed to be held In escrow, what happened? THEY STOLE THE MONEY AND USED IT FOR THEIR THINGS THEY THOUGHT WAS MORE BENEIFICIAL. So, let me get this straight- they take money out of the economy from us only to put it back into the economy because they know better how it should be used. Sure, that makes sense. They know better than YOU.
