Charlotte (Franzman) Miller, 87

She was an active member of the Golan Chapter of American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) having held various board positions. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and had been active in Women's American ORT.

 

Charlotte (Franzman) Miller, 87, formerly of 1450 Whitney Ave., Hamden, devoted wife of the late Isadore B. Miller, died at the Mary Wade Home on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.

Born in New Haven, May 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Louis P. & Sarah (Grovitz) Franzman. Beloved mother of Susan M. (Jeffrey) Friedman of Cheshire and Ellen M. (Stephen) Rubenstein of Springfield, VA, loving cousin of Mark and Audrey Grove of Cheshire, dear sister of the late Phyllis Azif and Jack Franzman.

Cherished and devoted grandmother of Joshua and Mitchell Friedman, Jennifer and Kenneth Rubenstein.

Mrs. Miller, who held several bookkeeping positions during her career, retired from the former Virdis Associates. She was an active member of the Golan Chapter of American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) having held various board positions. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and had been active in Women's American ORT.

A Period of Mourning will be observed at the home of Susan and Jeffrey Friedman, 95 Meadowbrook Place, Cheshire thru Tuesday evening, Jan. 15. Visiting hours are 2:30 - 4:30 and 6:30 - 9:30 with a minyan each evening at 7 p.m.
