Christina R. "Tina" Stein, 61, of Hamden, passed away Sept. 9, 2012 at St. Raphael's Hospital, New Haven. She was the wife of Roger F. Stein.
Born in New Haven on April 15, 1951, the daughter of the late William and Hannah McCluskey Muir. Christina had worked as a teacher for many years in the New Haven School System until her retirement.
She was the mother of the late Scott Stein and the sister of James Gillan of Conway, SC, Thomas Muir of North Haven, Mary Persano of Orange and the late John Muir. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Montowese Baptist Church, 201 Quinnipiac Avenue, North Haven, Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, 2nd Floor, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
