Claudia Wells, 77, of Hamden, peacefully entered into rest on Oct. 8, 2012 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
She was born in Wetumpka, AL on May 21, 1935 to the late Eddie and Sophie Tremble Atkins.
She is survived by two sisters, Louise Pearsall and Elizabeth (Betty) Tremble, one sister-in-law, Shirley Jones, five grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by siblings Eddie Paul, Bessie M.Tremble, and one great grandchild.
A ceremony of celebration of her life will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at 11 a.m at McClam Funeral Home, 95 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Calling hours from 10-11 a.m. Interment is private.
