Clyde "Butch" Yeaton, 50

The Hamden resident was a self-taught mechanic. His funeral is Wednesday.

Clyde "Butch" Yeaton, age 50, of Hamden, passed away, Tuesday, October 30, 2012.

Butch was a self taught mechanic, which he did professionally, but enjoyed working on cars so much, that he continued to do so even in his free time.

Butch is survived by his mother; Mary Curtis, son; Anthony Yeaton, both of Hamden, daughters; Lindsey Yeaton of West Haven, & Valarie Yeaton of Wallingford, sisters; Karen Shlikas & Eileen Grimes, grandsons; Will & Josh Yeaton. Also surviving are an Aunt & Uncle, several nieces, nephews & cousins. Butch was predeceased by his sister; Susan Curtis-Vespoli.

The wake will be held Wednesday, November 7th from 5-8pm at the Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT. Family & friends will gather again at the funeral home on Thursday, November 8, 2012, beginning at 9am to form the procession which will lead to St. John the Baptist Church, where the Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am. Interment will be private.
