Doris A. Broggi, 87

Funeral services are today for the former Dessa Drive resident.

Doris A. Broggi, 87, formerly of Dessa Dr, Hamden, passed away on Aug. 26, 2012.

Doris was born in New Haven on May 29, 1925, the daughter of the late Allyn P. & Angela Pivirotto Broggi. Until her retirement in 1987, she was employed by the First Union National Bank (former Union Trust Company) as an Assistant Treasurer.

Doris is survived by her cousins, Catherine Broggi Leach of North Branford, Viola Broggi Kelleher of North Haven, Arthur Pivirotto of Fairfield, Edward Pivirotto of SC, Lorraine Curry of Clinton and Judith Leissner of Westbrook. She was predeceased by her aunt Aurelia Katuzny & cousins Anna Broggi Laurie, Allen Broggi & Paul Broggi.

Doris was a very active member in St Rita's Church, serving in the elderly ministry activities.

Family & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Church, Hamden. Her interment will follow in Montowese Cemetery, North Haven.

Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Rita Church, 1620 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06517 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Inc, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101.

Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden.
