Elizabeth "Betty" D'Addio, 68

Services will be held Friday for the longtime Hamden resident who died suddenly on Friday.

Elizabeth "Betty" D'Addio, 68, of Hamden passed away suddenly on Aug. 31, 2012.

She was born in New Haven on July 29, 1944 to the late Michael and Pauline Rubertone D'Addio. She leaves her three children, Pauline Ryan of Hamden, Michell Martin, of Naples, FL, and Theodore "Ted" Martin of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Samantha, and Michael, Jr. all of Hamden, and Stacy Poisson and Wesley Martin of TN; brother, Edward D'Addio of Cheshire; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, George and Albert D'Addio, Lorraine Onofrio, and Mary Dawley.

Betty grew up in New Haven before moving to Hamden, where she raised her family. She was an excellent cook and cherished time with her grandchildren. Betty's presence will be greatly missed at her family's breakfast club that met once a month and was made up of her children, brother, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with Betty's family at Beecher & Bennett, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, on Friday, Sept. 7 from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
