Frank W. Ceraso, 91

The funeral for the WWII veteran will be Friday at the Church of the Ascension.

Frank W. Ceraso, age 91, of Hamden, passed away on Sept. 25, 2012.

Born in New Haven on July 4, 1921, he was a son of the late Michael C. & Christina Angiollo Ceraso.

Frank is survived by his wife, Katherine "Kaye" Grimshaw Ceraso; his daughter, Christine Parisi & her husband Peter of Wallingford; his son Francis Ceraso & his wife Mary of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren Allison & Amanda Parisi & MacKenzie Ceraso and his sisters, Grace & Angelina Ceraso both of Hamden. Frank was predeceased by his brother Matteo Ceraso.

He was a US Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion Post 150 and the Hamden Elks Club. Frank was retired from Geometric Tool as a Stock Supply Manager, prior to that he was the Co-Owner and Operator of Economical Cleaners formerly of New Haven.

Frank's family would like to thank the staff of Hamden Health Care for the care & compassion that he received in his time of need.

Friends may attend his funeral on Friday, Sept. 28 at 8:30 a.m. from Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden followed by his Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of the Ascension, 1040 Dunbar Hill Rd, Hamden. His burial with Military Honors will take place in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends may also visit with his family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 2911 Dixwell Ave, Suite 205, Hamden, CT 06518.
