Hamden Obituaries: Connie E. Vitale, 71
Connie, who was a Secretary in the Mayor's Office for the Town of Hamden, loved life and especially enjoyed the times she spent with her family.
Connie E. Vitale of Hamden died Jan. 22, 2014 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of Nicholas Vitale.
She was the mother of Lisa Marie (Vincent F. Rositani, Jr.) Vitale, Nicole Vitale (Joseph) Giamattei, Sarah Jane (Steve Wagner) Vitale and the late Jacqueline Ann Vitale and the sister of Salvatore (Donna) and Nicholas Schiavone.
She also leaves grandchildren Todd Sutcliffe, Brian Levchuk and Stephen Daniel “Ninja Baby” Wagner, Jr.
Connie was born in New Haven on April 11, 1943 to the late Nicholas and Anna Prisco Schiavone. She had been an Avon representative and for the past 14 years she was a Secretary in the Mayor’s Office for the Town of Hamden.
Connie loved life and especially enjoyed the times she spent with her family.
Her funeral will leave the Iovanne Funeral Home, 11 Wooster Place, New Haven on Monday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, Hamden at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
