Hamden Obituaries: George A. Chamberlain, 84

He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 88 of Hamden.

George A. Chamberlain, 84, of Hamden, passed away Feb. 28, 2013 in CT Hospice.

He was the father of Linda Chamberlain of New Haven and Debbie and David Chamberlain, both of East Haven, and the grandfather of Christopher, Brandon and Derek Panicali.

He was the son of the late Albert and Ellen Kane Chamberlain and the brother of Ruth Jeanfairve of Sebring, FL, Harriet Taft of St. Augustine, FL and the late Marion O'Connor, Loretta Monahan, Helen Cunningham, Howard and Willard Chamberlain. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, including Jason Moore and special friends, Rich and Pat Dionne.

Prior to his retirement, George was a Computer Analyst for the Southern CT Gas Co. for many years. He was a member of the New Haven Elks Lodge 25 and was Exalted Ruler from 1990-91 and also was named Elk of the Year.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 88 of Hamden.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service with military honors Friday at 1 p.m. in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Yes, trust the state legislators, as we trusted the Social Security was supposed to be held In escrow, what happened? THEY STOLE THE MONEY AND USED IT FOR THEIR THINGS THEY THOUGHT WAS MORE BENEIFICIAL. So, let me get this straight- they take money out of the economy from us only to put it back into the economy because they know better how it should be used. Sure, that makes sense. They know better than YOU.
