Hamden Obituaries: John F. Castricone, Jr.

He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.

John F. Castricone, Jr., 86, of Hamden died March 20, 2013, in CT Hospice.

He was the loving father of John V. Castricone (Laura) of Harwinton, Valerie Cimino (Michael) and Joanne Castricone both of Hamden. He is also survived by his four cherished grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Castricone, and sisters Josephine Presutti and Geraldine Purgatore.

Mr. Castricone was born in New Haven on Aug. 25, 1926, the son of the late John F. and Fanny (Signor) Castricone, Sr. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement he worked as an operating engineer for Local 478.

Funeral services are private. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, 06405.
