Hamden Obituaries: Marie Perrotti Thomas, 77

Marie Perrotti Thomas of Hamden, died peacefully Dec. 6, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital- St. Raphael Campus. She was the wife of Thomas Thomas.

Marie was the mother of Mary (Rick Ainsworth) Thomas, Michael J., Matthew F. and Mark (Jessica Suraci) Thomas. She was the sister of Ann (Tony) Anastasio, Pasquale (late Rosemarie), Frank Jr. and Nicholas “Gene” (Mary Ellen) Perrotti and the late Joseph Perrotti and the grandmother of Oliver Thomas Ainsworth.

Marie was born in New Haven May 8, 1936 to the late Frank and Katherine Ferrara Perrotti. She began her professional career at the Southern New England Telephone Co. then later managed Frank Perrotti & Sons for more than 30 years.

Marie was an avid duckpin bowler and member of the Cousins Knitting Club. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Iovanne Funeral Home, 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. Friends are asked to meet at Blessed Sacrament Church Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
