She was a decorator at the Perfect Party for 20 years prior to retiring.
Rita Ann Donnelly Palumbo, 79, of Cheshire, formerly of Jennifer Rd., Hamden, died at Elim Park on, Dec. 6, 2013 after a long illness. She was the wife of Raymond S. Palumbo.
Rita was born in New Haven on May 3, 1934, the daughter of the late Robert and Julia Marion Donnelly, and had resided in Hamden most of her life. She was a decorator at the Perfect Party for 20 years prior to retiring.
She is survived by her loving children, Mrs. Thomas (Renee) Morgan of Hamden, Mrs. John (Laura) DelVecchio of Trumbull and Vincent (Christy) Palumbo of Hamden and grandchildren, Julia, John, Ray, Vincent and JamieLynn. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Robert and Richard Donnelly.
Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Services and interment are private.
