Hamden Obituaries: Virginia B. Geer, 102
A longtime resident of Hamden, Virginia was a retired school teacher, teaching many years at the Putnam Avenue School for the Hamden Board of Education.
Virginia B. Geer, 102, of Hamden, passed away at her residence on Dec. 26, 2013. She was the widow of Marshall Bixby Geer.
Born in Northport, Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Anna Barclay. A longtime resident of Hamden, Virginia was a retired school teacher, teaching many years at the Putnam Avenue School for the Hamden Board of Education.
Virginia always enjoyed the many trips and cruises that she and her husband shared together.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. and may attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Circular Ave, Hamden. Burial will follow in Whitneyville Cemetery.
