Hamden Resident Mary Ellen Tarrant Dies

She loved to travel, ride roller coasters and attend Seton Hall University women's basketball games.

Mary Ellen Tarrant of Hamden passed away on Sept. 4, 2012.

She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, aunt, and friend. She loved to travel and ride roller coasters.

She was born in Stamford, daughter of George and Margaret Wood. Surviving besides her husband, Joseph, are her adoring children, Billy and Timmy Tarrant of Hamden and Meg Tarrant of New Jersey; brothers Kevin (Roxanne) and James (Irene) Wood; a nephew and three nieces.

Mary Ellen's presence will be greatly missed at St. Raphael's Hospital where she worked, and in the stands at Seton Hall University women's basketball games.
