Josephine Gaudino Milone, 100

The Hamden resident's services will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church on Monday.

Josephine Gaudino Milone, 100, of Shepard Ave., Hamden, died Dec. 6, 2012 at Conn Hospice, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Peter J. Milone, Sr.

Josephine was born in New Haven, Jan. 27, 1912, the daughter of the late Luca and Clementina DelVecchio Gaudano and resided in West Haven most of her life and in Hamden for the last 25 years.

Prior to retirement, she was employed at the Brand Dress Shop for 10 years and Lee Beach Wear for 15 years.

She is survived by two devoted sons, Pasquale "Pat" (Elena) Milone of West Haven and Peter (Rita) Milone, Jr. of Hamden; a brother Albert Milone of Milford, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sisters Anna St. John and Mary Gaudano.

Friends are invited to go directly to St. Joan of Arc Church on Monday for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. and may call Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Conn Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, Ct.
