Matilda "Mae" Frattini Del Chario, 100, of The Commons, 75 Washington Ave., Hamden, died July 23, 2012 at Mid-State Hospital. She was the widow of Adam "Tom" Del Chario.
Mae was born in New Haven, May 13, 1912, the daughter of the late Gioacchino and Annette Carboni Frattini and had resided in Hamden the last 60 years.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, card playing and going to the casino.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Del Chiaro of Meriden, a son, Kenneth (Karon) Del Chario of Fullerton, CA, sisters Lena Libby and Christine Serafino, both of Orange, a brother, Joseph Frattini of East Haven, grandchildren, Donna (John) Cronin, Denise (Michael) Earls and Jamie Del Chario and great-grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Braden and Quinlen. She was pre-deceased by siblings, Mary Bigelli, Sue Ferrucci, Diane D'Amato, Aubrey and Bruno Frattini.
Her funeral will take place Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, with a Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:30 a.m.. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
