Philip L. Corso, Jr., 80

The Hamden resident was a self-made man and owned his own bakery for many years.

Philip L. Corso, Jr., 80, of Hamden, passed away on Sept. 13, 2012.

He is survived by his wife; Ann Pascarelli Corso, and sons Alan, David (Kathy), Donald, Jeffrey, Rodney.

He leaves his brothers Robert, Salvatore and Jerry, and he was predeceased by two sons, Philip III and Roger, sisters, Sara, Josephine, Rose, Alfreeda, and brother Frank.

Philip was the son of the late Philip Sr., and Jennie Bondillo Corso. Philip was a self taught baker, working for area bakers before owning his own bakery, and finally as a baker for Waldbaum's in North Haven, from where he retired.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, at the North Haven Funeral home, 36 Washington Ave, North Haven.
