Richard P. L'Ecuyer, 92

The longtime Hamden resident was an industrial arts teacher in the New Haven school system.

Richard P. L'Ecuyer, 92, of 53 Elmer Ave., Hamden, died Sept. 16, 2012 at Connecticut Hospice after a long illness. He was the loving husband of 66 years, of Mildred Brown L'Ecuyer.

Richard was born in Fitchburg, MA, July 19, 1920, the son of the late Napolean and Celia Gorman L'Ecuyer, and was an industrial arts teacher in the New Haven school system prior to retiring and had resided in Hamden for most of his life.

He is also survived by his children, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Miller of Burlington, Ct, Frances Zabel of Madison and Richard (Paula) L'Ecuyer of Hamden, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

His funeral will leave Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10 a.m.. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Saturday morning at the funeral home from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
