The Hamden resident was a 2003 graduate of Hamden High School and worked at the Hospital of St. Raphael's.

Robert Tyrese Edwards, 28, of Hamden, departed this life Oct. 18, 2012.

Born in New Haven on July 17, 1984, he was the son of Carol Edwards Ham (Randy) and Robert Reid, Jr. (Theresa) He was a 2003 Hamden High School graduate.

Robert was previously employed at Shaw's in Hamden and was currently working as a security officer at the Hospital of St. Raphael's for five years.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by sisters, Rana Ham, Sequitta Reid, Brittany Hillard and Yolanda Reid all of New Haven, brothers, Eric Brooks, Darius Cooper, Lamar Reid of New Haven and Randy Ham, Jr of Philadelphia, PA; Grandparents, Jessie and Mattie Edwards of Hamden, Ms. Ruby Foreman of New Haven, Robert Reid, Sr. of Hamden, Luttie-Bell Ham of St. Stephen's, SC, Great grandmother, Lena Jones of Hamden, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by one brother Darick Cooper, grandfathers Richard Foreman and Charlie Ham, Sr., Great grandparents Jessie and Etta Bell Edwards, William and Maggie Petaway, one aunt, Regina Petaway; two uncles Louis Benekin and James Middleton.

A celebration of his life will take place Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Community Baptist Church, 143 Shelton Ave., New Haven, with calling hours at the church from 9-11 a.m. Interment will take place at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
