Roger F. Groleau, 82

Long-time member of the Hamden Zoning Board of Appeals passes away; services are Thursday.

Roger F. Groleau, 82, of Hamden, passed away July 23, 2012, in St. Raphael's Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Ann Alberino Groleau.

Born in New Haven May 9, 1930, he was the son of the late Adolph and Marie Poulin Groleau. He worked as a tool maker until his retirement.

He served on the Board of Zoning Appeals in Hamden for many years and was an avid Red Sox fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Groleau of Austin, TX.; a stepson, Anthony J. (Donna) DeFrancesco; a stepdaughter, Lisa (Michael) Pyne and their family; and three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Corio Groleau; a son, Roger F. Groleau Jr.; two brothers, Leopold and Roland Groleau; and a sister, Cecelia Groleau.

Roger's family would like to thank the Staff on Verdi 3 North at St. Raphael's Hospital for their care and attention.

Friends may call at The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St., (cor. Dwight), New Haven, Thursday from 4 to 7 pm.

Contributions in Roger's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Yes, trust the state legislators, as we trusted the Social Security was supposed to be held In escrow, what happened? THEY STOLE THE MONEY AND USED IT FOR THEIR THINGS THEY THOUGHT WAS MORE BENEIFICIAL. So, let me get this straight- they take money out of the economy from us only to put it back into the economy because they know better how it should be used. Sure, that makes sense. They know better than YOU.
