Vanda Ghiloni Cardonita Torello, 87

The Hamden resident worked at Tomco Manufacturing for two decades. Her funeral is Saturday.

Vanda Ghiloni Cardonita Torello, 87, of 290 Treadwell St., Hamden, died Sept. 17, 2012 at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph Cordonita and Pasquale Torello.

Vanda was born in the Bronx, NY, Dec. 5, 1924, the daughter of the late Angelo and Emma Biagioni Ghiloni and was employed at Tomco Mfg. for 20 years prior to retiring.

She is survived by her devoted children, Mrs. James (Toni) C. Wood of Wallingford and Joseph Cardonita of Hamden, three grandchildren, Melissa Cardonita, J.B. Wood and Stefanie Werner. She was predeceased by brothers Ezio and Dino Ghiloni.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. Ash interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

The Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
