It started out as a financial institution only serving employees of Southern New England Telephone, and now is Hamden's unofficial Favorite Bank, garnering 25 votes in our first Best of Hamden poll.
Its closest rival is another hometown favorite -- , which came in second with 22 votes.
Of the big name banks, only People's United came close with 18 votes.
