Happy Second Birthday, Hamden Patch!

Two years ago today we hit the switch and Hamden Patch was born.

It's hard to believe that it's been only two years since Hamden Patch made its first appearance on these interwebs, but it has -- two years ago today we flipped the switch and voila, Hamden Patch appeared on a computer near you.

Much has changed since then except for one thing -- our commitment to bring you everything you need to know about Hamden in order to make your life ridiculously easy.

If the weather's nice, we'll tell you where the best events are taking place.

If the weather's bad -- as we recently experienced during Hurricane Sandy, and did last year during Hurricane Irene -- we'll tell you where to avoid, what's the latest emergency information and when it's safe to venture out again.

For two years we've documented the happenings in town government, what's going on in the schools, in the town's businesses -- anything that is of interest to residents.

And we'll continue to do that, better than ever.

So this Thanksgiving we have a lot to be thankful for, and most of all we are thankful for you, our readers. You have supported us and continued to grow in numbers, and we appreciate your loyalty and your continued support.

We ask you to spread the word about Hamden Patch to your friends and neighbors so we can continue to become a platform for conversation, content and commerce for the entire town.

Thanks for two great years, and we look forward to many more to come!
