Hold Jackson and the Legislative Council Accountable

The proposed Retirement Incentive Program is another example of political corruption, one resident says.

To the Editor:

The Retirement Incentive Program illustrates most of what is wrong with Hamden: Political Corruption.

The mayor and the Legislative Council have been asked by me and others to show where the projected savings are. The New Haven Register reports that only a draft is available and is not being released to the public.

WHY?

Because the numbers are known to NOT support the claims that the Mayor is making to give those set to retire a $10,000 Bonus on the backs of the taxpayers for political payola.

The Mayor should know who can take advantage of the proposed program, how the town can benefit from its implementation and we all know he does. This should be public knowledge. It is not because there is no benefit to the town. The Mayor is withholding information to backdoor passage by a Legislative Council that does not care that the townspeople can no longer afford to allow this corruption to continue.

Mr. Jackson and Ms. Kozak: Make the numbers known and then STEP DOWN and give the Town of Hamden back to the townspeople and out of the hands of conniving politicians who do not act in their sworn capacities to serve and protect the the people they are sworn to: the People and Taxpayers of Hamden!

Kudos Charles, for once again calling them on the carpet.
Unfortunately we already know there isn't any such paperwork. If there were, someone would have noticed there is no savings in doing so. Lets see what happens when we show the work! If little Scottie has 20 people eligible for retirement, (20) If none of those people decide to retire, how many people does little Scottie have to pay = (20). If little Scottie offers those 20 people $10k to leave the positions - 20, then hires 20 more people to fill those vacancies, how many people does little Scottie pay = 40! So if little Scottie WAITED for those people to retire on their own volition with NO incentive and those vacancies weren't refilled = How much money would little Scottie Save? Now which would make more sense for a Town over it's head in Debt? Who over the age of 11 couldn't figure out which of the 2 examples would benefit the Towns Budgets? Really, do we even need MEETINGS to figure this out? VOTERS NEED TO TAKE BACK THE POWER!!!

I would like to remind everyone that politicians create controversial programs like this Retirement Incentive Program so then can sneak in a more controversial program under the radar. Can anyone tell me what else is happening in Hamden?

Michael the Archangel impressed by God’s 7 days of hard work, pointed to a land area and said, What’s that land area called? “That's North Haven, Connecticut replied God, I have given the people of North Haven political leaders that will be modest, generous, compassionate, intelligent and humorous. They will be extremely sociable, hardworking, high achieving and producers of good things." Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then asked, "But what about balance, God? You said there would be balance in any of your creations..." God smiled, "Yes, further south is Hamden, Connecticut wait 'till you see the political idiots I put there."
