New trash bins

Does anyone know when pick ups will start with new bins.

Start date for recycling carts the week of January 13th, trash carts the week of February 3rd, that's what the instruction sheet that came with the carts read.... Speaking about the instruction sheet that came with the carts here is another interesting point, “PLEASE DO NOT, put hazardous waste, paint cans, solvent, or DEAD ANIMALS in the cart”……. The cart instruction sheet should be rewritten to read, “Violent crime is on the increase in Hamden. PLEASE DO NOT put hazardous waste, paint cans, solvent, DEAD ANIMALS or DEAD HUMANS in the TRASH CARTS……… To the bad guys who misuse the TRASH CARTS, remember Hamden’s new Trash Carts have a National Security Agency (NSA) tracking “RFDI Chip” in them; you will be found and recycled. THAT’S THE LAW! LOL

Just got mine. Where's the chip? I'm assuming the black handle on the front.

Why is it a secret?................ Notice what I did there lol

JDC, I suggest you read Carl Sagan’s book “A Life in the Cosmos” you may find it especially interesting, when Mr. Sagan writes about Black Holes and how gravity prevents light and radio waves from escaping the electromagnetic forces within a Black Hole. I found watching the reruns of the TV show “Cosmos, 1980-” helps to understand the power of electromagnetic forces held within a Black Hole. LOL

Billions and BILLIONS of years ago.........I LOVE when Carl says BILLIONS, don't you? Would Hamden be the metaphorical "black hole" here? lol

You think that these new cans will now be put back out of the way - or the same way the lazy trash masters boys just throw them in the street in front of your mailboxes- Have told them its okay to throw them back (recycle bins) on the lawn but they don't seem to understand english and I still find them out in the street all along the road - usually in front of he mailboxes? DUH!!!!

U 2 huh? I thought they just didnt like ME or something! Yeah you had to see them delivering the bins, it looked like the running of the bulls! Sounded like it TOO.

What happens if they break btw? I bet I know who foots the bill? Usually when you are already paying a HUGE NUT to live isnt it prudent to find the LEAST EXPENSIVE way to get other things done? I aint buying that in the long run THIS is more inexpensive and especially more EFFICIENT than 3 guys and a truck. Again, what happens when you have TOO MUCH GARBAGE for ONE CAN? In the summer when I have a party and such I ALWAYS use my third can! OHHHH, I may NOT throw parties anymore, right Comrade Jackson?

Let's see now we have the new trash police with chipped cans, I'm one of the few people in this country that read the obamacare act requires all citizens to have implantable chips placed in all citizens bodies 36 mos after implementation, all new cars will be implanted with chips if they haven't already to allow authorities to shut your car down if some authority believes your a threat......get the point I'm making.....what's next, chipped dicks?

One good point made her: what if you have more than a binful?
Thomas Alegi January 05, 2014 at 09:05 PM
HR 3200 What rumor mongers are circulating is a complete misinterpretation of part of an earlier bill that was never even passed. One of the first attempts at Obamacare was HR 3200, also known as America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. In this bill, there was a section that called for a “National Device Registry.” This was meant to keep a registry of all medical devices. A couple of phrases within this section apparently raised eyebrows of conspiracy theorists: ‘‘(A) is or has been used in or on a patient; and ‘‘(B) is— 2 ‘‘(i) a class III device; or 3 ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable, life-supporting, or life-sustaining.” Seeing “in or on a patient” along with “implantable” are the only things that anywhere resemble the “embedded microchip” rumor. This, however, is merely legalese for stating that any devices – inside or outside of a patient – would be subject to the device registry. There was no requirement for a device to be implanted in humans. And let’s not forget that HR 3200 was not passed and did not become law. The legislation that eventually became law did not contain the “device registry” nor does it mention RFID chips or implantation of devices.

Ahhhh I see that tommy! Unfortunately I've been reading HR 3590 that did pass! If you like this law you haven't read it my freind...what a freaking disaster heaped upon this formerly great nation!no wonder the Feinstein said you need to pass it before you can read it ."good luck defending the provisions in this bill tom.....if you find anything worth defending in it let me know
Chris Sakelarakis January 06, 2014 at 09:02 AM
And furthermore the device portion of the bill that didn't pass was exactly as I stated no ifs and or buts but fortunately it wasn't in the final disastrous bill that did pass

Chris medical devices like a Pace Markers have electronic chips in them, so do Hearing Aids and other medical devices. These mentioned medical devices with built in chips can be programed to help people enjoy their lives, too bad these medical devices are going to be taxed under the new law of the land…… How on the other hand Chris, you stated every person living in the U.S.A. including the president and Congress members would had to have a ID tracking chip implanted in them by “X” date. Now who would want to track the President and Congress members? NASA or the NSA!….. Welcome to the Orwellian nation. Let’s see we now have trash cart chips, car and truck chips, passport chips, credit card chips and let me not forget the water and electric chips that can turn off electricity and water to anyone’s home from a central office... ….. Chris you understand government conspiracy theories better than anyone, what’s next? Dual Parabolic Positron Emission Tomography, which read human thoughts….. Chris you do know at some point everything has to be recycled at least once. So Chris, do you think Soylent Green will be the next low calorie food supplement?
Chris Sakelarakis January 06, 2014 at 11:02 AM
I do understand tom.....unfortunately the Ignorants who are consuming the middle class through 1 entitlement after the other have become the norm rather than the exception . Hopefully they will become the soy lent greens of the near future rather than the hardworking core of thus formerly great nation. It's painfull to watch the decline of the American nation but like all great nations that don't pay attention to past human history it was all very predictable
J D C January 06, 2014 at 11:08 AM
Soilent Green!!! Wow a Charlie Heston movie reference. Yeah, nobody's puttin a chip in me, let me tell ya. Chris, Mancy Pelosi said " we need to pass it to see whats in it" not the other bulldog. Imagine if a righty said that? The "media" would have CRUCIFIED them.

The last refuse collection cost us $1 million a year according to Taxson. These new bins ALONE cost us $2.815 million if I did the math CORRECTLY- 23,464 homes x $120 = $2.815 million. So thats THREE YEARS of pickup without them having picked up ONE shred of garbage yet! How may I ask is THIS saving money? If this pickup costs us $500k a year it will STILL take nearly SIX YEARS to break even! Aren't we hurting NOW? Is ANYONE in the Hamden "government" good at addition?
