4-Year-Old Boy Abducted Just Over NY Border

New York and Connecticut police are on the lookout for a New York man suspected of kidnapping his young son Friday.

The Marlboro, NY Police Department has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a confirmed child abduction that occurred on Western Ave., Marlboro, NY at about 9:20 a.m. on Friday.

According to Connecticut State Police Lt. Paul Vance, New York police requested that the alert extend into Connecticut as the abduction took place near the border.

The child, Frederick McCluskey, is described as a white male, approximately 4 years, 9 months old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 4 feet tall and weighs about 50 pounds. Frederick was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. He has a small scar under right eye.

The suspected kidnapper is the young boy’s father, Frederick McCluskey, a white male, approximately 27 years old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The vehicle has been identified as a red two-door hatchback sedan 1989 Honda Civic with NY blue and gold version license plate, number FHX9276.
