A New Haven man is facing charges that he was one of three people who shot up the area of Sylce Pixxa at 141 Arch St. last month.
David Lilly, 33, of 72 Fairmont Ave., New Haven., was charged with criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
On Aug. 16, Hamden Police got a report of shots fired at Slyce Pizza, Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said.
Police believe that multiple gunshots were fired by three different shooters, Smith said.
"Several rounds did penetrate an Arch Street residence,
entering a living room and bedroom, which was occupied by a family, including a
small child," he said. "In addition, the front window of Slyce Pizza, as well as several
motor vehicles, suffered damage."
No one was injured, he said.
Det. Sean Dolan did "an extensive investigation," Smith said, and submitted an arrest warrant application for Lilly to Meriden Superior Court. On Thursday, Hamden Police Detectives arrested him in New Haven.
Lilly was held in lieu of a court ordered $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 12.
