Babysitter Allegedly Steals Thousands, Man Nearly Hits Child With Rock

A Monroe driver was arrested for DUI Wednesday evening after officers responding to an accident with evading saw him driving his Honda Civic with heavy front-end damage, dragging the front bumper under the car. The driver did not respond to the police car's lights and sirens, according to police, who said he continued on at a slow rate of speed, pulled into his driveway and opened the garage door.

A Monroe father woke up to $272 worth of fines when his 17-year-old daughter threw a house party with underage drinking, according to police. The teen was hit with $136 fine for possession and her father $136 for failure to halt drinking by a minor.
