A bartender at a local pub was injured early Saturday morning after a patron through two glasses at her.
Kenneth Paecht, 41, of 1320 Foxon Rd., North Branford, was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace after the 1 a.m. incident at Dunn's Pub at 2345 Whitney Ave.
Paecht was a customer at the bar when he got into an argument with a female bartender police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said.
"Paecht allegedly used vulgar expletives towards her. She subsequently refused to serve him," Smith said. "Paecht then allegedly threw two bar glasses at her, the first one striking her in the forehead. The second glass did not strike her; however, it damaged approximately $100 in glassware."
Officers found Paecht sitting on the stairs of an adjacent building and was arrested, Smith said. The bartender suffered a head injury, he said.
Paecht was held in lieu of $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court June 27.
