Black Friday: Tasered Shoppers, Carjacking and Shooting
In New Haven County and beyond, Black Friday deals result in crime.
While shoppers were out in full force searching for deals on Black Friday, thieves were reportedly looking to score, too. And some deal seekers allegedly let the urge to get a good bargain get the best of them.
In Milford, a man attempted to steal a woman’s purse as she walked to her car in the parking lot of Old Navy and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
A woman was carjacked while sitting in her car in the parking lot of Lowe’s in Milford. Police said the suspect displayed a handgun and ordered the woman to get out.

In Southington, a man was charged with breach of peace and interfering with police after he allegedly cut the line in Walmart and created a scene. Police used a taser on the suspect when he became combative.
Another man was tasered, this time at the Walmart in Milford, after he allegedly got in a fight with another shopper.
