Connecticut State Police 2013 Memorial Day Statistics

Two people died over the holiday weekend in Connecticut, according to State Police.



According to the Connecticut State Police, over the course of the Memorial Day weekend from May 24 to 27: 

  • There were 281 motor vehicle accidents on state roads, including 59 with injuries. Two people were killed in accidents, one in West Hartford and one in North Stonington.
  • Troopers arrested 57 people on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs 
  • Troopers issued 4,294 hazardous moving violations, 1,941 speeding violations, and  718 seat belt violations
