Four Charged After BB Gun Found in Car
An officer initially pulled the car over because it wasn't registered, according to police.
Four people, including one juvenile, riding in a car with an expired registration ended up in hot water early Sunday morning when an officer found a BB gun in the car.
At about 1:45a.m. Sunday morning Officer Enrique Rivera-Rodriguez of the Hamden Police Department saw a car on Cherry Ann Street with an expired registration, according to police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.
Rivera-Rodriguez stopped the car on Sherman Parkway in New Haven, Smith said.

"Investigation led to the search of the vehicle," Smith said in a release Monday. "Officers located what appeared to be a handgun underneath the back seat. Further investigation revealed that the facsimile handgun was in fact a BB gun."
