Hamden Cops: Two Teens Accused of Breaking Into a School Sunday

Hamden police arrested two teens for allegedly breaking into the Alice Peck School, police said in a release.

Police said at about 6 p.m. Sunday they responded to the school because the burglar alarm was going off.

Upon arrival, officers observed two juveniles, 17 and 13, fleeing from the interior of the school, towards a wooded area. Officers William May and Eric Hallstrom gave chase, police said. The juveniles were subsequently arrested after a lengthy foot pursuit, police said.

Both teens were charged with third-degree burglary and interfering with a police officer.
