Hamden Man Arrested in Child Pornography Case

Cheshire police took Hamden resident Robert Pelletier into custody last week in connection with child pornography charges stemming from a 2009 investigation.

A Hamden man remains in state custody in lieu of $90,000 bond after Cheshire police said a 2009 investigation revealed he was part of a group in New Haven county that had been sharing child pornography.

Officers served a warrant on Robert Pelletier of 290 Treadwell St. in connection with the case. He was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court Friday on charges of possessing child pornography, risk of injury to a minor and violation of probation.

Cheshire police said Monday that the arrest came following an extensive investigation in 2009 following information that the department had received the previous year.
