The charges stem from a June 2010 burglary, according to police.

A Hamden man is facing charges that he broke into a home and stole tools from it three years ago.

The incident occurred on June 21, 2010, according to Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith, when police got a report of a burglary at 360 Goodrich St.

Police found that someone had broken into the home, entering through a first-floor window they had broken, Smith said. The person stole about $1,000 worth of tools from the home, he said.
