Hamden Man Facing Burglary Charges
Two men try to break into a home, according to police, and one is caught.
One Hamden man was arrested and another thought to have gotten away Saturday night after they allegedly tried to break into a Longmeadow Road home, according to police.
A call came in about about 11 p.m. of a burglary in process, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said. Officers found that two men tried to enter the garage, breaking the door, frame, a locking device and a screen window, he said. The two took off toward Laconia Avenue, Smith said.

The suspect, Jonathan Lewis, 18, of 84 Morgan Lane, Hamden, was charged with criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit second-degree criminal mischief, criminal trespass and interfering with a police officer.
