A judge issued the order Monday, he allegedly violated it Tuesday.

A Hamden man is facing a judge today after he was arrested on charges he violated a protective order one day after it was issued.

The protective order was issued Monday barring Gerald Lawrence, 32, of 49 Blacey St., from having contact with an ex-girlfriend, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said.

Lawrence was arrested Sunday and charged with disorderly conduct, according to the state's Judicial Website look-up.
