Hamden Man Facing Heroin Charges

A long police investigation led to a raid on a Goodrich Street home Wednesday and the arrest of a man who lives there.

 

A Hamden man is facing drug charges after an early morning raid Wednesday at his Goodrich Street home.

"On March 20 during the early morning hours, members of the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team, with the assistance of the Special Response Team, executed a search and seizure warrant at 370 Goodrich St.," Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said in a release Wednesday. "The execution of the search warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation into the illicit sale of heroin."

When police searched the house, they found 13 grams of heroin, Smith said, with a street value of about $1,000.

Arrested was Aundrey Agnew, 51, of 370 Goodrich St., who was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

He also was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging the sale of narcotics, Smith said.

Agnew was held in lieu of $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on April 3.
