A Hamden man was arrested at a motel located at 1700 Boston Post Rd., Milford, after he allegedly pushed his companion and restrained her by the neck during an argument.
Michael Mills, 48, of Hamden, was charged by Milford Police with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and third-degree strangulation.
Mills was released on a promise to appear in Milford Superior Court on Dec. 6.
