Hamden Police Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Hamden Police Department; all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.


-- Alexander Conway, 19, of 231 Colony Rd., New Haven, was charged July 18 with disorderly conduct. He posted $500 bond and is due in court Aug. 1.

-- Charles DeJesus, 41, of 175 Branford Ave., East Haven, was charged July 16 with two counts of sixth-degree larceny. He posted $1,000 bond and is due in court July 27.

-- Jakeese Dingwell, 20, of 311 Hillcrest Terr., Meriden, was charged July 13 with first-degree larceny, reckless driving, interfering with an officer and engaging in pursuit. He was arraigned the same day in Meriden Superior Court and is due back Aug 6 on this case and several others involving arrests in Meriden and with the state Probation Department. 

-- Gregory Eugene, 31, of 57 Collins St., Hamden, was charged July 11 with interfering with a police officer. He posted $1,000 bond and is due to appear in court July 24.

But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
