Hamden Police Looking for Information on Shooting

Shots rang out last weekend in the parking lot of a local club, and police are searching for those responsible.

 

Police are asking for anyone with information about a shooting that happened last weekend to contact them.

At about 2 a.m. last Saturday police got a report of a large crowd in the parking lot of The Point After, 1349 Dixwell Ave, according to Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.

"As officers were in the process of dispersing the crowd, multiple gunshots were fired from the east side of the parking lot. A large crowd subsequently fled from the area," Smith said. "Hamden Police asked for the assistance of the New Haven Police Department in preserving the peace. Several New Haven Police Officers responded and assisted during the incident."

After searching the area, officers were unable to find the person responsible for the shootings or any victims injured from it, he said.
