Hamden Police Make Child Porn Bust

Numerous images of child pornography were found.

In October of 2013 Hamden Police developed information with regards to an individual possibly downloading child pornography, police said in a release.

An extensive investigation ensued, which led to the execution of a search warrant at the home of Karl Kiesinger of 112 Piper Road in Hamden. Numerous items of evidence were seized and a forensic examination was conducted. As a result, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children confirmed numerous images of child pornography, police said in a release.

Detective Scott Levenduski subsequently submitted an arrest warrant application to the court for Kiesinger. The arrest warrant application was approved by the court.

On June 26 the Hamden Police arrested Karl Kiesinger, 34, of 230 Spring Street, Apartment 14, in Naugatuck, (formerly of 112 Piper Road) who had turned himself in at police headquarters.

He was charged with possession of child pornography in the first-degree. Kiesinger, who was released after posting a $100,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on July 10.

Sergeant Robert D’Aniello assisted in the investigation.
