Hamden Police Seek Two Men Involved in Armed Robbery

Robbery took place on Columbus Street, anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamden Police Department.

Hamden police are seeking two men in connection with an armed robbery of a 33-year-old male that took place late Wednesday afternoon at 100 Columbus Street.

In a press release, police described one of the individuals as a dark-skinned male, standing at about 5 feet 8 inches, heavy build, wearing dark-colored clothing. The other individual is described as a dark-skinned male, standing at about 5 feet 11 inches, thin build, wearing a shiny “Halloween type mask,” police said.

The robbery took place when the victim was unloading a work van on Columbus Street when he was approached by two men, according to the press release.

Police say one of the individuals searched the victim's pockets, while the other held him at gunpoint.

The individuals fled on foot northbound on the Farmington Canal Trail.

Police said the victim was not hurt.
