Woodbridge Police responded to a report of a family dispute on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 15, and found a woman had allegedly hit her husband with an axe handle in the midst of the fight.
Joann Haborak, 36, of Hamden, was charged with second-degree assault and released after posting $500 bail.
According to reports, Haborak's husband told police that Haborak hit him in the head with the axe handle, and police report the man sustained a facial injury.
Haborak is due to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Sept. 17.
