Hamden Woman Faces Burglary, Larceny Charges

After her arrest in Hamden, Greenwich Police charged the suspect with ID and credit card theft.


Hamden Police have solved one case of theft of credit cards with the arrest of a town woman.

According to police, a Robinwood Road resident reported that several credit cards were stole from his unlocked vehicle that was parked in his driveway on Jan. 10.
An investigation revealed the cards were used at local businesses. 

Officer William May conducted the investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Sonia Bracy, 34, of 1730 State St., Hamden.

On March 30, Officer Dennis Putnam arrested Bracy, while conducting a motor vehicle stop. She was charged with third-degree burglary, two counts of credit card theft, three counts of illegal use of a credit card, two counts of criminal attempt to commit illegal use of a credit card and three counts of sixth-degree larceny.

Bracy, who was released on a written promise to appear was turned over to the Greenwich Police Department, that had an arrest warrant charging her with ID and credit theft.
