On Monday, the mothers of two local teens, Chelsea Austin of Hamden and Logan Bombard of North Branford, reported them missing when they did not return from school.
Lieutenant David D'Ancicco of the North Branford Police Department reported that the pair was found near Central Park in New York City Tuesday after police pinged their cell phones.
The teens were last seen on the morning of Monday, Sept. 24 – Bombard's mother dropped him off in New Haven for school and Austin was last seen at her home just before 7 a.m.
They returned home on the train last night.
