Neighbors Face "Dog Feces Decorating Numerous Trees"

"It was quite a sight for residents who live in the area," according to police.

A Hamden man is facing allegations that he decorated trees in a vacant lot in his neighborhood with bags of dog feces.

On Oct. 29, Hamden Animal Control got a report that someone was walking his dog and discarding its feces in a wooded lot in the vicinity of 900 West Woods Road, according to Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.

"Animal Control subsequently initiated an investigation and found approximately 40 bags of dog feces decorating numerous trees and lying on the ground," Smith said in a release this week. "It was quite a sight for residents who live in the area."
