New Haven Man Charged with Dealing Crack

Hamden Police arrested a New Haven man after a two-month investigation into drug sales at a local bar.

A New Haven man now facing charges was the target of a lengthy investigation by the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team into the sale of crack cocaine at a local bar.

Terrance Thompson, 42, of 131 Shelton Ave., New Haven, was charged with three counts of Sale of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics after the two-month investigation that determined Thompson was selling crack cocaine both inside of and in the vicinity of a local bar, according to police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.

"While attempting to serve an outstanding arrest warrant for Thompson in relation to this investigation, officers observed him conduct another sale of crack cocaine," Smith said. "In addition, officers seized 10 bags of crack cocaine and United States currency."

Thompson was held in lieu of $115,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on April 24.
