A New York City man is facing charges he tried to fill two fraudulent prescriptions at a Hamden pharmacy.
On Friday, police got a fraudulent prescription complaint from CVS Pharmacy at 2045 Dixwell Ave.
Officers learned that Michael Crosby of the Bronx, New York tried to fill two prescriptions for 180 Oxycodone and 30 Ibuprofen pills, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said. Crosby gave the
pharmacist two fraudulent prescriptions originating from a Health Center in
Yonkers, New York, Smith said.
Crosby, 54, was charged with second-degree forgery and illegally obtaining or supplying of a prescription.
Crosby was held in lieu of $5,000.00
bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Oct. 11.
Officer Jeremy Brewer conducted the investigation, Smith said.
